According to tradition, EXPO 1520 will be held at the Experimental Ring of VNIIZhT and feature a demonstration of key new railway equipment and machinery developments.
Over 40 specimens of rolling stock made in Russia and abroad!
EXPO 1520 is an opportunity to see trains that no-one else has seen yet!
After the demonstration show, anyone who wants to* can have an introductory tour, and take a ride on a retro locomotive steam train as well as an ultra-modern double decker train:
The Stadler double-decker electric train
For this year only, you will be able to take an exclusive introductory tour on the double-decker electric train, made by the Swiss company Stadler, which will soon be making a round trip between Moscow and the airports.
The retro L series locomotive steam train
You will also be able to take a trip back in time and go on the retro L series locomotive steam train. This Soviet mainline freight locomotive was made at the end of the Second World War in conjunction with the Kolomna Factory and VNIIZhT under the supervision of the outstanding designer L. Lebedyansky and the academic S. Syromyatnikov. The locomotive was in use from 1945 to 1955.
