United Wagon Company to showcase new freight wagons at the jubilee EXPO 1520 International Fair

At the 5th International Fair of Railway Equipment and Technologies EXPO 1520, United Wagon Company (RPC UWC Holding), a leading innovative railway wagon manufacturer in the 1520-gauge space, will present its latest freight wagon models based on the Barber railway wagon bogie.

RPC UWC will showcase its new hopper wagon designed for transporting grain and fitted with an aluminium alloy roof. The wagon's capacity has been enlarged to 120 cubic metres, thus enabling full use to be made of the wagon’s load capacity of 77 tonnes for all types of grain and grain mill products. The wagon features two locking and sealing devices and its design supports faster freight handling and helps cut transportation costs.

A new solid bottom gondola wagon model is slated to become another newsworthy exhibit at the Fair. The wagon has been designed to fit an optimal ratio of workload (77 tonnes) and cubic capacity (98 cubic metres) for hauling common types of load, including brown coal. The body, interior coating and door covers are made of high-strength steel resistant to atmospheric corrosion and abrasion, allowing for seamless interaction with the freight handling infrastructure.

The holding's exhibits also include a flatwagon with a capacity of 70 tonnes for transporting timber. With a loading timber length range of 3 to 18 metres, the wagon can handle three piles of wood 6 metres long still at short timber handling rates, which significantly reduces transportation costs compared to its current market rivals. The new uniform section design of the side stakes works to preserve palletised freight intact and minimise the impact of oscillation by reducing vacant space.

RPC UWC will also present a covered wagon with a workload of 72.5 tonnes and a capacity of 175 cubic metres. The distinguishing feature of the wagon's design is an increased side door aperture, interior wall-mounted equipment and side wall apertures with air grills installed.

The new rolling stock has been painted in signature corporate colours designed specifically for RPC UWC test freight wagons drawing on the philosophy of leadership and advanced technologies in railway wagon production. The new concept is visualised in a colourful geometric design to symbolise sustainable development dynamics, progress, high quality, stability and transparency at RPC UWC.

At the EXPO 1520 Fair, the latest projects by RPC UWC will be exhibited on track 56 at the VNIIZhT Experimental Ring (Shcherbinka, Moscow) from 2 to 5 September.
