EXPO 1520: new scale
The IV International Rail Salon EXPO 1520 will feature more than 300 exhibitors and more than 50 full-size items of equipment.
More than 300 exhibitors will present their products and achievements in the exhibition areas at the IV International Rail Salon of Engineering and Technologies EXPO 1520, which will take place at the Russian Railway Research Institute (VNIIZhT) Experimental Ring (Shcherbinka, Moscow) from 11 to 14 September 2013. The latest developments in rolling stock from various countries in the “1520 area”, including experimental prototypes, will also be presented to visitors to the Salon in its static and mobile display areas.
The scale of the event has increased significantly in 2013 – it is planned to demonstrate the latest railway equipment and technologies manufactured by Russian and foreign railway engineering companies, using 6 pavilions at the same time, with an area of 3,300 sq m, and an open-air exhibition zone of 1,100 sq m.
During the mobile display, to which about 1,500 running metres of track have been allocated, guests of the Salon will have a unique opportunity to see and confirm the performance characteristics of the railway equipment in motion.
The Salon will include, as always, the IV International Conference “Railway Engineering. Prospects, technologies, priorities”, devoted to the most important issues concerning railway engineering, replacement of the rolling stock fleet, innovative and investment activity, and also to presenting the latest achievements in the field of railway technologies.
More than 14,000 people are expected to participate in and visit EXPO 1520.

EXPO 1520 is a specialist international Salon featuring the latest achievements in the field of equipment, technologies, infrastructure, services and logistics for the railway industry. It is the only international rail Salon in the “1520 area”.
The purpose of the event is to present the latest railway equipment and technologies manufactured by Russian and foreign railway engineering companies.
