International EXPO 1520 joins the events celebrating the 180th anniversary of Russia’s railway
From 30 August through 2 September 2017, celebrations of the 180th anniversary of Russia’s railways will be held within the scope of the 6th International Fair of Railway Equipment and Technologies EXPO 1520.
The fair’s highlight will be a dynamic demonstration of retro-equipment, modern locomotives and the latest rail equipment, which will take place on the territory of the JSC VNIIZhT Experimental Railway Ring during EXPO 1520. Visitors will see an extensive exposition reflecting the historical path followed by the railways over their years of development. For the convenience of passengers, free travel will be arranged on commuter trains from Kursk Station to Shcherbinka and back.
The four days of the 6th International Fair of Railway Equipment and Technologies EXPO 1520 will include an international conference “Railway Engineering. Prospects, Technologies, Priorities”, a dynamic demonstration of equipment and actual examples on rails, as well as five exhibition pavilions and outdoor expositions. The final day will, by tradition, be an Open Roads Day with sporting activities, musical performances, and entertainment for children and grownups.
«ЭКСПО 1520» - это уникальный железнодорожный салон техники и технологий на пространстве «широкой» колеи и единственный в Европе, который имеет стратегическое значение в развитии отрасли нашей страны и усилении международных отношений. Проходит раз в два года на территории Экспериментального кольца АО «ВНИИЖТ» (г.Москва, Щербинка). В 2015 году в мероприятии приняли участие более 700 предприятий из 29 государств. Участниками деловой программы стали свыше 2000 специалистов. Салон посетили более 25000 человек, в число которых вошли официальные делегации крупнейших стран мира, представители правительства и руководители профильных министерств как России так и мирового сообщества. На официальной церемонии было подписано не менее 17 стратегически важных соглашений, что выводит салон «ЭКСПО 1520» на новый высочайший уровень.
