Dear participants and organisers of the IV International Rail Salon of Engineering and Technologies EXPO 1520,
EXPO 1520 is the only specialised exhibition for railway engineering, not just in Russia but in the whole of the broad gauge area.
The exhibition clearly demonstrates the sustained trend towards bringing together the production and intellectual potential of railway equipment manufacturers in Russia, the USA and European and Asian states.
This kind of globalisation in railway engineering is not simply a trend; it is a route to increasing the speed of trans-border transport, harmonising technical standards and legal details for inter-state freight transport, and making transport more environmentally friendly. These and other objectives are important areas of work for the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
