Graduated from the University of Transport and Telecommunications in Žilina (Slovakia) in Transport technology and Economics.
Attended training courses in the UIC -SIAFI - International Cooperation Training and in the E.T.C.R. - European Training Centre for Railways in Bruges (Belgium), in the field of the European railway system.
From 1981 - at Czechoslovak State Railways and Czech Railways in different operational and managerial positions.
From 2009 - an independent consultant in the area of railway operation, infrastructure operation, IT and logistics.
Full member of States' Representatives Group of Shift2Rail JU as the Czech Republic representative on a contractual base with the Ministry of Education, Youths and Sports of the Czech Republic, Chairman of the States' Representatives Group.
An advisor for international affairs, a coordinator and an advisor for international projects and
an expert for TSIs (Technical Specification for Interoperability), especially for TAF and TAP TSI. Cooperates with ERA in TAF TSI CCM Working Party, TAF TSI CCM Board and TAF/TAP Steering Committee. He is a member of UITP focusing on IT in public transport and member of UN ECE Telematics Working Group for Dangerous Goods transportation.
Deeply involved in research and innovation activities and is a recipient and a partner in several EUREKA, H2020 research projects and cooperated with INEA as independent expert for European projects evaluation.
